Have you ever thought this?

This time, I will introduce how to display numbers as positive or negative in Excel .

Change the display format

Select the cell range in which you want to display plus or minus (in this case, column E).

Open Format Cells (Ctrl+1)

Select " #,##0;-#,##0 " from " Type (T): " in [ Display Format ] → [ User-defined ],

Modify it to " + #,##0;-#,##0 ;±0 " (if you want to use digit separators) and click " OK ".

This will display "+" when the value is positive and "±0" when the value is zero.

Commentary

We will explain
``
+#,##0;-#,##0;±0' '.

If you look closely, you'll see that they are separated by  a semicolon (;) .

Up to the first semicolon (①) plus, up to the second semicolon (②) minus, and the last one (③) 0Each corresponds to.

Therefore, if you don't need digit separators, you can also use "+0;-0;±0" or "+#;-#;±#".
